The NDRC said that in the first half of this year, the production of non-ferrous metals stable growth, economic decline, January-May, 8,431 large-scale non-ferrous metals industrial enterprises to achieve profit of about 48.6 billion yuan, year-on-year decline of 7.3%; January-June investment growth fell 3.3%; price shocks downward, June domestic market copper, aluminum, lead, zinc average of about 51,600 yuan/ton, 14,700 yuan/ton, 13900 yuan/ton and 14,800 yuan/ton, year-on-year decline 6%, 9%, 10% and 3 %, the volume of imports and exports has decreased.

The NDRC pointed out that the above problems are mainly because of unreasonable industrial structure, "middle big, two small", smelting overcapacity, high value-added processing products shortage, dependence on imports. To this, we should effectively resolve the overcapacity work, promote the technological progress of enterprises, strengthen the development of non-ferrous metal materials and expand the application of deep processing products.
